The Carrera 2.7 MFI was the direct successor to the Carrera 2.7 RS and by a quirk of legislation were actually built in smaller numbers. Just 1,036 Coupe's and 433 Targa's were ever built, against a total production run of 1,580 for the original Carrera 2.7 RS.
