When a used diesel makes sense

If you drive more than 20,000 miles a year and most of it is on the motorway, the fuel economy of a modern diesel is hard to beat. A Euro 6 diesel (2019 onwards) is cleaner than you might think and offers incredible efficiency at 55-65mpg on the motorway.

That said, if you live in a city centre and drive mainly in urban areas, a hybrid might work out better for you. Diesel shines on long journeys where its 55-65mpg really makes a difference.
