What is the Autoza Vehicle Logbook?
Every car in Ireland has a reg plate. The Autoza Vehicle Logbook is the first national, online record of work done on each plate — built by verified mechanics, dealerships and service centres. When a buyer looks at any listing on Autoza, they see the full service timeline for that exact vehicle. When a seller wants their car to stand out, a verified service history is the fastest way to justify the price.
The provider who did the work gets the credit. Your business name, your county, your profile.
Long-term goal: the trusted online place where every Irish vehicle's history, maintenance and ownership lives. We start with mechanics and dealerships. Insurers and buyers are next.
Why service providers join Autoza
A logbook that lives online
Enter a reg plate and log the work — services, cambelts, MOT preps, brakes, body work, EV battery checks, anything. The record stays with the car forever, not in a paper folder that gets lost.
Owner-confirmed, tamper-proof
Every record you add is sent to the registered owner for one-click confirmation. Once confirmed, the entry is locked. Buyers, insurers and future owners can trust what they see.
Records appear on every Autoza listing
When that vehicle is listed for sale on Autoza, your verified history appears on the listing page. Your name, your county, your business profile — visible to every potential buyer.
Mark the AI cites you to buyers
Autoza's buyer AI Mark references verified service history when buyers ask about a reg plate: "Last serviced at the main Audi dealer in Dublin in March 2026." Free, ongoing visibility.
Reviews tied to real work
Vehicle owners can only review you AFTER they confirm a record you logged. No fake one-star reviews from rivals. Your rating reflects real, verifiable jobs.
Free — for everyone
No subscription, no per-record fee, no scale-based pricing. Whether you're a one-bay garage in Roscommon or a 30-bay main dealer in Dublin, the logbook is free to use.
How it works
- 1
Apply
Fill in your business details and upload a photo ID. We review every application manually — usually within 1–2 business days.
- 2
Get verified
Once approved, you're live. You can start adding records immediately.
- 3
Add a record
Type in the reg plate, pick the service type, describe what was done, add any parts. Takes about 60 seconds.
- 4
Owner confirms
The car owner gets an email with one click to confirm. Once they do, the record turns green and appears publicly on the vehicle.
- 5
Your reputation grows
Every confirmed record adds to your total. Owners can leave reviews. Buyers start recognising your name. Dealers start recommending you.
Why we verify every applicant manually
A verified service history is only useful if it's trustworthy. A car with a fake record is a scam waiting to happen — and a verified badge next to a dodgy provider would be worse than no badge at all.
Every account — mechanic, garage, dealership or service centre — is reviewed by a real person before going live. You'll need to upload photo ID and provide a CRO number (limited company) or Revenue tax reference (sole trader). One-time process. Documents are stored securely.
Records are permanent and tamper-proof once confirmed. If anything looks wrong, buyers and owners can flag it. This is the standard we hold ourselves to — and the standard we expect from every provider on the platform.
Common questions
Do I need a CRO number or VAT number to join?
No. Sole traders are welcome — you don't need to be a limited company. CRO and VAT numbers are optional fields that unlock a "Registered Business" badge on your profile, but they're not required.
Why do you need photo ID?
A verified badge next to a dodgy mechanic is worse than no badge at all. Manual ID review protects buyers, protects legitimate mechanics, and protects Autoza. It's a one-time process.
What if a car owner doesn't confirm a record?
The record stays in a "pending" state and doesn't appear publicly. You can see it in your dashboard. Most owners confirm within a day or two.
Can I edit a record after I add it?
No. Records are permanent once submitted. This is by design — it's what makes them trustworthy. If there's a genuine error, contact info@autoza.co.uk.
Is it really free?
Yes, completely. No subscription, no per-record fee, no scale-based pricing. Whether you're a one-bay garage or a 30-bay main dealer, the logbook is free to use because verified history makes every Autoza listing more valuable.
I'm a main dealership / large service centre — is this just for small mechanics?
No — main dealerships, body shops, tyre and brake specialists, EV centres and other large providers are all welcome. Many Audi, BMW, Toyota and Mercedes owners want main-dealer servicing recorded. Larger providers can request team accounts (multiple staff under one business profile) — email info@autoza.co.uk.
What types of work can I log?
Full service, MOT prep, cambelt / chain replacement, brake service, tyres, suspension, electrical, gearbox / clutch, engine repair, body / paint, oil change, EV battery health checks, diagnostic reports — or custom "Other" with a description.
